    Ashley: Treatment Coordinator

Ashley is from the Sandston area and was a patient for years before being hired with our practice in 1996.  She began her employment with us as a Dental Assistant before moving to the reception desk in 1998.  She has always enjoyed greeting patients at the desk, assisting them with scheduling appointments and collecting out of pocket expenses while filing insurance claims.

In January 2009, Ashley moved to the position of Treatment Coordinator.  She can still be found helping patients at the front desk from time to time, but she mainly handles treatment plans and financing.  This position within the office gives us the opportunity to discuss with patients, one-on-one, the explanation of dental procedures, fees associated with those procedures, and insurance benefits.  We feel patients have more of an opportunity to openly discuss questions or concerns they may have regarding treatment.

As well as treatment planning, Ashley is also recognized as our new patient liaison.  Our office always welcomes new patients and she is excited to be their first line of contact.  She will be pre-registering them by phone, verifying their insurance benefits prior to their appointments and she will be part of the team that will welcome them at the door when they arrive.  We believe this will help to create a solid foundation for the relationship we hope to build with our patients.

In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family (including her two Yorkshire terriers, Angus and Talula Belle), traveling, being an active member of New Bridge Baptist Church, directing Upward Cheerleading, and having great girl time with her girlfriends from the office.

Relationships are very important to all of us here at the office.  We have a very family oriented feel here, probably because we spend as much time together outside of the office as we do at work.  We hope you will enjoy our family atmosphere here and we can’t wait to see you.
